Happy New Years! I’m honestly so glad that it’s now 2021. I was reading my 2020 Goals and Word of the Year blog post and I was so excited about going into 2020…that definitely took a turn of events 🤦🏽♀️. Like most, I am so glad that 2020 is over but I’m not going to be too excited for 2021 (cause I don’t want to jinx anything and get my hopes up). This past year was an emotional rollercoaster and we all have had to adapt to a new normal and sacrifice something. For me, I had to sacrifice my social life and summer vacations. Although I wasn’t able to accomplish many of my goals from last year, I am still so grateful that my family and I are all well and healthy despite this pandemic. Anyways, being mindful of the conditions that we are in, my goals this year are going to be more focused on things that I want to accomplish within myself and a few things that I wish to do this year.
Here’s a list of Goals I want to accomplish before the end of 2021:
- Become more confident in myself
- Establish a workout plan
- Sell most of my clothes
- Stop procrastinating
- Learn how to drive (& pass my drivers test)
- Practice more gratitude
- Volunteer more
- Write in a journal everyday
- Read at least 12 books by the end of the year
- Be more active on Instagram
- Create more video content
- Improve my style
- Start good habits (like eating cleaner, going for daily walks, etc.)
- Continue to save money
- Spend less time on my phone
- Become more organized
- Connect with others who have the same interests as me
- Follow up on my ideas
- Do well on my SAT and ACT
- Look and apply for scholarships
- Bond more with my sister
My 2021 Word of the Year:
I chose this word because I have faith that things will get better this year and not just for me but for everyone. I have a strong feeling that this year will be better than last year but we can only have faith that it will be.
Anyways, may this New Year be better and happier than this past year!
