Synopsis:
With her irresistible urge to tell a joke in every situation–even when she really, really shouldn’t–twelve-year-old Jacky Ha-Ha loves to make people laugh. And cracking wise helps distract her from thinking about not-so-funny things in her life, like her mom serving in a dangerous, faraway war, and a dad who’s hardly ever home.
But no matter how much fun Jacky has, she can’t seem to escape her worries. So one starlit night, she makes a promise to keep her family together…even if she has to give up the one thing that makes her happy. But can she stop being Jacky Ha-Ha, if that’s who she really is?
Okay, Let me be really honest! When I saw this book at Barnes & Nobles it was love at first sight! My mom who is a book blogger, has always told me to never judge a book by it’s cover…but look at this cover!!! (Ha, It matches my yoga mat!) I read the summary and decided I had to have this book! My mom thought it was interesting that James Patterson wrote children’s books too!
Anyways… (*sigh)
Jacky Ha-Ha is about how Jacky is the class clown. She makes jokes every chance she gets and they aren’t always good ones! Sometimes she just doesn’t know when to stop. So, she decided that she would put the jokes behind her and show everyone that she is smart too. Changing isn’t always easy to do. I really enjoyed this book because even though Jacky was going through some tough times she always had a joke to make fun of it. This book was addicting and unputdownable! If you need a good laugh Jacky Ha Ha is your book!
Happy Reading!
