Fashion Friday ~ January 31st

Hey guys! Happy Fashion Friday! I’ve honestly been trying to take things easy and relax now that midterms are over! Now, I’m trying to get into the full swing of things and start being more active on all of my socials.

Anyways, this week I am featuring a very put together but casual look and I Love it a lot! I’m wearing a white tank with a light green corduroy jacket as well as skinny jeans with pearl embellishments and finally my Dr. Martens. I love this look because I could wear this to school, or I can wear it out to dinner or somewhere nice! It’s a casual look but it has a pinch of sophistication which I what I love. I like feeling put together but comfortable and this look achieves just that.

I thrifted the corduroy jacket a while back but I hadn’t found anything to pair it with until recently when I used it in this look and I’m very satisfied with how this came out. The jacket adds a little bit of color and it really makes the outfit pop a little. I just added the tank top just to have a solid color underneath the jacket. For the jeans, I am in love with the pearl embellishments! I love the level of sophistication it adds to this outfit. The pearls is what really brings out the more put together part of the outfit because it creates a balance between the casual corduroy jacket and the sophisticated jeans.

Lastly, I paired my Dr. Martens because the black shoelaces add a color contrast to the rest of the outfit. I know I said that I wouldn’t wear my Dr. Martens for the rest of this month’s Fashion Fridays but I just had to!
