Happy Fashion Friday! I have been extremely busy lately, but the good news is that I already have next week’s Fashion Friday post done so that I’m ahead! I’m still learning how to balance my school work and my blog work but everything at school is going well! Anyways, this week I am featuring a black and white checkered overall short outfit. I have never owned anything checkered so this was a fun pattern to wear! I just wore a regular black shirt underneath but as I’m looking at the pictures in this outfit, I realized that I could have worn any colored shirt underneath because black and white goes with everything! I don’t wear a lot of patterns but I think it’s really cool to try something different every once in a while and really get out of my comfort zone!
I got the overalls from Forever 21 and they were $3.50!!! Can you believe that (and it fits under my $30 or less Fashion Friday rule)?! Forever 21 has been having a really good sale so if you ever get the chance, check it out!
I’m wearing my white Dr. Martens which matches perfectly with this outfit! (Forget that you can’t wear white after labor day – it’s literally ridiculous!) These are my new favorite shoes because they go with a lot of things and, I’ve always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens! I’m so fortunate to have gotten these really cute shoes! (thanks mom! ❤️)
Fashion Tip: Try out different patterns and different colors! If you are like me, and you don’t wear a lot of patterns, I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and mix it up with some fun colors and patterns! I personally really like the way that patterns look so I’m going to try to wear them more often myself! I’m overall, really in love with this look and I really like the way it came out!
