Happy Sock Sunday! This week, I’m reading Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon! I’M SUPER EXCITED about this book! My mom read this book last year and recommended it to me but once I learned that the book was going to be a movie I decided to wait until closer to the release date of the movie to read so, I can make comparison between the book and the movie. The preview to the movie looks so good! I can’t to wait to finish reading this book andĀ go see this movie which will be released inĀ theaters May 19th!Ā
Synopsis:Ā
Risk everything . . . for love.
What if you couldnāt touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face . . . or kiss the boy next door? In Everything, Everything, Maddy is a girl whoās literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door . . . and becomes the greatest risk sheās ever taken.
My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, Iām allergic to the world. I donāt leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all blackāblack T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we canāt predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. Itās almost certainly going to be a disaster.
āLife is a gift. Don’t forget to live it.ā
