What’s in my Backpack *Freshman year*

Posted on October 5, 2019

Hey guys! I’ve been in school for about 4 weeks now and so far, everything has been going smoothly! I have good grades, I’ve just been accepted into my school’s freshman class council, and going to football games are so much fun! I’ve seen a lot of “What’s In my Backpack” videos on YouTube and I decided that I wanted to do the same thing but in the form of a blogpost! I’m also going to share my way of staying organized, and how I get high scores on tests!

Here’s what’s win my backpack:

I have binders for most of my classes, but what I’ve learned is that you don’t need everything that your teacher says you need. For instance, My biology teacher told me that we needed a binder and a notebook. That was weird to me because a binder and a notebook do the same thing, It’s all about what you prefer. Personally, I like binders because you can hole punch your papers and put them in. You can also put notebook paper in your binder and use it as a notebook. There’s so many ways that you can use a binder to stay organized, it just has so many purposes! However, for English I have a notebook and a folder because that’s what I prefer for that specific class. To save room in my backpack, I put my notebook in my English folder so that they stay together!

I do have a notebook for Biology, but I don’t use it so I’m going to take the label off and use it for something else (like my blog or something!).

TIP: If your school gives you a planner, or you have your own planner for school, USE IT! This will help you stay organized and it’ll keep track of all the things that you need to do! I use it to write my homework in for each class and when its due. This way, I’ll always have my homework done and I won’t forget to do anything. I also like to write in important events and upcoming tests so that I can prepare myself.

TIP: TAKE GOOD NOTES! I can’t stress this enough. Taking notes in class is so so so so important. I take notes on everything I can because you never know if it’ll be on a test. To spice things up, if you like to color code or highlight, go for it! I love colorful notes! For me, it makes studying so much more fun! Taking good notes will be super helpful on your next test!

Some little things that I have to have on me is GUM!!! Gum helps me focus and now that I’m in high school, there is no rule that prohibits it! I also have to have some kind of chapstick on me because I hate dry lips! I really love the Glossier Balm Dot Com and Carmex!

Hopefully some of these tips help you in school! Wishing everyone the best,
