I love traveling! Here recently, every time my family and I sit down to plan a vacation, I always suggest going abroad. I love seeing different countries and their cultures. I’ve only been to 4 countries so far. International travel always sounds so appealing, but as I think about it, there is so much the United States has to offer – I watch the travel channel 😁! Since, traveling is a major hobby for me and my family, my mom suggested that maybe we do 1 trip a year outside of the U.S. and then plan trips to several states within the U.S., that I’ve never been to, throughout the year. She has seen many of the states herself and thought it would be a great challenge for my family to help me see all 50 states by the time I graduate from High School. I have already been to nearly half of the states. Please check out the lists below.

On an average, If I go, to at least 5 states over the next 5 years, I will meet my goal. One strategic way, to make this happen is when I go to visit one state if I haven’t been to the neighboring state(s) we will try and visit it/them as well. I already know getting to Hawaii will be my biggest challenge, so it may be one of the last.
This goal also helps me with one of My 2018 Bucket List’s goals which is to visit at least 25 Cities I haven’t been to this year and so far, I’ve been to six cities so far this year so, I’m hoping this summer will hit more cities I haven’t yet been to before. With the city challenge/goal they can be day trips whereas the 50 State Challenge I have to stay overnight and actually spend at least 24 hours or more there and actual see some of it’s landmarks.
At the end of the year, I will report my progress. Wish me luck! I’m really hoping I can accomplish all of this!
How many states have you been to? What are your travel goals?

It’s so hard to get out of Texas! And money is tight!
I’ve only been to New Mexico and Colorado as a kid.
I was only able to go to Washington DC and New York last summer, thanks to being a chaperone for the 8th grade trip.
With only those four under my belt, my travel list is long! But it’s more of a list of gorgeous watering holes, canyons, waterfalls, and beaches… than states.

That sounds awesome!! Traveling is one of my fave things in the world but I’ve only gotten to do it a couple times sadly. 🙁 I think I’ve been to maybe 7 states and I really want to expand that. 🙂
